Some Ideas For You

Hi bloggers

So I've managed to make a few Christmas cards this week even though I've not been well. I had planned to do a lot more this week seeing as it's my annual birthday week off but alas not. Nevermind it was still good to rest and like I said I did manage to get a few projects done which is always nice.

The plan with these cards was to play around with colouring techniques like using Promarkers, water colouring with distress inks and water colouring using other products I've already got on hand so I've attached some pics for you to see. Don't be afraid to play around with colour or techniques, you'll be surprised what you create.

So the question is - Have you started your Christmas cards yet?

I used my Promarkers (alcohol markers) to colour the image, as you can see I'm not so good with the shading but I like to play around with it.

This one is my favourite. I stamped the image with a distress ink pad and pulled some of the colour into the image with a water brush, again trying to shade it, and used aqua markers to add some additional colour. I also added some sparkle with a Sakura star dust pen - love those things!

I stamped this one in an archival ink (permanent ink) and used distress inks to somewhat water colour the image. I also used a Sakura star dust pen and dragged the ink in with a water brush, that way I find you don't get any harsh lines where you've drawn them in.

I stamped her with distress ink and pulled the colour in and did the same thing as in image no. 2.

I used Promarkers to colour the images in, nothing fancy, no shading and added a bit of sparkle with the Sakura pen and Stickles.

I hope you've enjoyed this and are inspired to start creating your Christmas cards - not long to go now. I will be back soon with more and the better I get at taking the photo's the clearer they will appear lol.

Happy crafting!
