Oh Happy Days..

Hi Everyone

I hope you've all had a great Monday and the weather has been kind to you. It's rained on and off all day here but I love it! I love rain, it just makes me feel calm, I don't know why. There's alot of beauty when it rains and it smells awesome too! lol.

Anyway I'll get on with it now lol. I managed to make a couple of books for my parents today. Well I didn't make the ring bound book itself I bought them for 99p each but they're perfect for what I've done. I decided that since my dear hubby couldn't find anything that he wanted for his birthday - which was a couple of days ago - that he needed a Wish List book to help us all out with ideas for birthdays, Christmas, Anniversaries etc. So I made his and gave it to him as a little extra for his birthday and then thought that I would do the same for mum and dad. I really hope they like theirs as hubby's already written in his so I guess he likes it :). Now the reason I don't have one is because I already have a spreadsheet, yes a spreadsheet lol, of the crafty goodies I'd love to get and it came about last year for my birthday when mum asked me for a list. I sent her the spreadsheet and it worked out great as there are always a million things that we crafter's need (it's not a want anymore it's a need) and so it gave them a variety of things to choose from. Mum said it was a great idea and it really helped her out. But do you think I could any of them to do a spreadsheet/list, I think not lol which is why I decided the Wish List books were a good idea. I will post some pics soon I promise and show you what I did. I did keep them simple but I love how they turned out.

I can't believe I'm saying this but I think my hubby's just about to order his PC! WooHoo! :) I'm so happy for him but boy has it taken some time to get to this point lol! I know I keep saying about it and I love him dearly - I'm only pulling his leg - but he will love it once it's here and I'm sure he'll have a great time setting it up - that's half the fun! It's the same for us crafter's - I can't wait for the day when I am able to find my gypsy and/or the imagine on my doorstep. What bliss that will be and so much fun opening the box and setting it up and then having a play on it hee hee can't wait :).

Right time to stop day dreaming and say a cheerio for now. I hope you all have a wonderful rest of your day - it's almost 11pm here - and I'll pop back soon. Please leave me a comment, I'd love to hear from you.

Hugs

Sunday Already?

Hi guys

Where has this weekend gone? wowee it has flown by and I haven't really done anything. Well actually it was my hubby's birthday yesterday so we had a little get together with mum and dad so I guess I did do a couple of things. I made his birthday cake and cupcakes and iced them! phew! Then we got all the stuff ready for the braai he wanted to have and it all turned out great. Only thing is that we ate far too much and felt like stuffed piggies afterwards LOL! But it was great fun and we all had a good laugh.

I woke up rather late today - like almost midday lol - and have felt really drained all day. I guess that'll teach me for going to bed at 2am! Anyway, I thought I'd give my blog yet another make over as the last time I changed it it just didn't seem to click with me, does that make sense? I loved the colours and the way it looked but it just didn't feel right you know. Sounds strange I know when I've just said that I loved it. So I changed it again and I really like how it turned out this time. It's more muted and not so bright that it hurts your eyes looking at it lol.

As you know I've been trying for a very long time to get my hubby to buy his new PC and I think I've cracked it! He was going to order it today but as it's now so late and he hasn't been well today it will probably be tomorrow but still that's good right? I'm so happy he's finally doing it as he gets so frustrated with his old PC (aka my one) and it will be great to see him enjoy it and be able to play the games he wants to play rather than not being able to play them at full capacity, if that makes sense.

That also means that once his arrives I will get mine back and be able to post some pictures of projects I've been doing and even do a video - shocking I know but it's ebbing ever closer. YAY!

Anyway guys, I hope you have a great rest of your Sunday where ever in the world you are - it's just gone 11pm here so you may still have day light where you are - enjoy it!

It's Friday Night! WooHoo!

Hi Everyone

I hope you're all having a wonderful day and that your week hasn't been too testing. Mine's had it's moments, some emotional but it's Friday night and I'm feeling a lot better.

I had some positive news about my friend today. He opened his eyes and has wiggled his toes! YAY! I know it's only a small step for us to see but a massive one for him and I will continue to pray for both him and my Aunt who have these struggles going on at the moment. They're both very special to me.

I've decided to do some scrapbooking tonight and I have to say, I'm loving it the more I do. It's so awesome and for me it makes looking at pictures and memories so much more fun! My hubby's also asked me to make a card for his buddy - his birthday is on Sunday I think - and so I will get cracking with that too.  I love to craft!

My DH still has not ordered his new PC so I will give him a little nudge as I'm so keen to get some video's and pic's up for you guys so I can share my love for this great hobby! (He has my old PC you see and this one's just too small).

I've also kept all the challenges I made from My Pink Stamper's NSD Day - if that makes sense lol! I can't wait to share them with you as I did find them very challenging especially that you only have an hour to do them. It was tough and tiring but soooo worth it, it really made me come out of my comfort zone and try different things and ideas. Although most of you I'm sure have already thought of these things but still I had a great time!

Well I'm off to do some scrapping and will post soon (hopefully not in a week's time like this week lol).

Have a super duper day/eve guys.

Happy Sunday Everyone!

Hi guys

I hope you've all had a fabulous Sunday. We popped over to Mum and Dad's for lunch and boy am I full up!! LOL! I've eaten way too much for one person today!! he he. Anyway we had a great time catching up as they've recently been on a cruise, lucky peeps, and so we got to see all their photo's of the ship and the people they met. It was lovely.

I'm still trying to get my camera / video up and running, it will be here soon, and have finally convinced my hubby to buy his new PC. Long story short, I was going to buy him a new PC for his birthday 3 years ago and because I am not that techy I said we should do it together so he gets the one he wants. Makes sense right? Like I said that was 3 years ago and yesterday he finally said he would properly look at getting it. YAY!! I was so excited for him. It also means that I get my old PC back and will be able to upload more pics and video's etc (the PC I have just doesn't have enough space to be able to do this) to hopefully inspire you guys. So it will be great all round! WooHoo! :0) To be fair to him, we have had 'problems', shall we say, that have gotten in the way of doing this sort of thing. Sometimes you have to be patient and put the things you really want on hold until the time is right or better. I can't wait though, he's going to be soooo happy and I'm looking forward to it for him. It's his birthday 2 weeks time so I have something up my sleeve but as I'm not sure if he looks at my blog, I can't share it with you until after. So a bit of planning and sculpting shall we say to do - just in case you're looking at this love, I don't want you getting any ideas lol.

Friday was a sad day as we had two lots of bad news. Firstly, I received a message from my Mum about my Aunt who is struggling with cancer. She was only diagnosed the back end of last year and it has been so very tough for her since. They had put a port in so she can have chemo but it blocked. When she had the little op to have it replaced, they perforated her lung. Can you believe it?! So she's had to go in for another op to fix that. The sad thing is that there seems to be something that crops up which stops her from getting/having chemo and she needs that to get better. I've said a prayer that she keeps her faith and hope and keeps fighting. She's such a strong woman and I know she can do this.

Then I heard about a friend who had been rushed to hospital after suffering a stroke. Or that's what they thought. As far as we know, it was actually a brain hemorrhage. We work in the same building different depts so haven't heard any further news, maybe tomorrow I'll find out more. I've said a prayer for him that he will be ok and will get through this. He's a good friend and helped me through some tough times in my life years back for which I will always be grateful.

Sorry for not posting sooner, but this last week has also been my first full week back at work and has been exhausting for me. I haven't even vacumed my house! Terrible LOL! - please excuse the spelling too lol!

Anyway until next time guys, have a super crafty special day/eve!

It's Friday YAY!!

Hello my fab bloggie friends!

I hope you have all had a great week - mine had moments of complete madness and some awesome ones too! So it's been a mixed one for me this week but it's the weekend - yeah man! Time to relax and enjoy each other's company and I believe it's National Scrapbook Day tomoz so that's going to be loads of fun.

I'm still learning how to scrap so all the help I can get from my amazing bloggie friends is so what I need and they always inspire me which is so great!

Well I've just commented on Kristal's blog - Getting Cricky with K Andrew - and have said that my camcorder is getting it this weekend! I really want to get it sorted so I can start to post pictures and video's of projects I've made. That way I can hopefully inspire you to try something new or to have a go at crafting if this is new for you. Trust me though, it will get you hooked - it really is a great hobby to have and I've loved every minute of it so far as I always learn a new technique or a different way of making something. It's the coolest thing ever. EVER! :0)

I will post more of the things I love to create on my bloggie. For now they will be in written format but once I'm up and running it will get better - well maybe we'll just see how my first video goes LOL! I'm sure that will be hilarious for you and I'll be shaking like a leaf! lol.

I hope you all have an awesome day/eve where ever you may be in the world!

What a Wonderful Day!

Hey guys.

Just wanted to pop a quick post on this evening. Isn't today turning out to be a great day/eve? Well my day started and was pretty yuk but it got so good - that's not even good English LOL! I went merrily on my way checking out some of my fav blogs and found that I won AGAIN! How super awesome is that!! I've won the Peach Fruit of Spirit My Pink Stamper set from Kristal's blog Getting Cricky with K Andrew! I'm so excited and I just can't fight it - there's a song there I'm sure LOL!

Anyway I just wanted to share that with you and to say a MASSIVE thank you to Kristal for such great giveaways and a fabulous blog! She really does inspire me everytime I watch her video's or see what crafty goodness she comes up with. She is a really sweet friend to me too which I love and appreciate.

Also don't forget to check out Robyn's blog My Pink Stamper as she too is really talented and has some super ideas.

Well, I'm off to see what my hubby is up to lol and to see what's on the box. I've had an exciting eve but now I think it's time to rest and relax with my amazing hubby and our 3 fur-babies. I'll try to put a pic up of our 'kids' soon. My kitty moans like crazy, she's very funny and sweet and our two little dogs are just so adorable too.

Have an awesome day/eve guys. Til next time.

Hugs
