Lawn Fawn & Stampin' Up | How You Bean?

Hi friends

Today's card video is all about scene creating/building and how to create a scene that is dimensional but completely flat.

I've always loved the look of a scene created using stamps and dies. It makes me look at the images more closely and imagine what the characters are really doing or thinking. I know that sounds a little wacky but it can sometimes immerse me in it and my imagination runs wild :) It's a bit like being a kid again.

I used Stampin' Up cardstock in Daffodil Delight (base card measuring 8.5 x 5.5), Rich Razzleberry (first layer measuring 4 x 5.25) and Whisper White (cut using the largest of the small stitched rectangle dies from Lawn Fawn). I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink for the images and post-it notes to mask areas off. The stamp set I used was Lawn Fawn's How You Bean?

To color the images in I used a variety of Tonic Studios Nuvo alcohol markers in purple, yellow and orange. I also used a couple of copic markers for the jar and the ground and Promarkers for the label and lid of the jar.

As a finishing touch I used Nuvo Crystal Drops and Crystal Glaze as well as Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen.

I want you to focus more on the technique/s and not spend too much time worrying about what colors to use or which stamp set. You can re-create this idea from most stamp sets and the colors are always personal preference. The point of this is to get you masking so you can create your own scene/story of the images you choose to use.

Here are a couple of pics of the card I created.

How To Two-Step Stamp

Hi friends

Today's card and video is to show you how you can two-step stamp. It's a very easy technique but very effective and gives a wow factor.

I used Stampin' Up cardstock in Blushing Bride, Whisper White and Basic Black for the card base and layers. I also used a Sizzix embossing folder for the 2nd layer to give it some texture.

When I was nearly finished I used Tonic Studios Nuvo Glitter Drops in Silver Moondust to add some 'enamel dots' to the card. Remember to wait until they're completely dry before mailing or putting away.

First Voice Over & How To Make A Jar Of Love | Stampin' Up

Hi friends

This is my first voice over video - eeek! - but my hope is to make more videos like this so that I can teach you in a better way.

For today's video I wanted to use the Jar of Love stamp and die set from Stampin' Up. This was in the catalog a few years ago and I loved the Halloween and Christmas add-on stamps they came out with for the Holiday catalog in 2016. However I had not really used the Jar of Love stamp set before now and wanted to share this with you.

It's a really easy two-step stamping technique that anyone can do and as you add layers of the stems and foliage into the jar you're going to create a whole picture that has depth and dimension.

As you can see below the 'water' is sparkly and shiny, just by adding the Crafter's Companion Spectrum Noir Crystal Clear Sparkle pen to it. Don't worry you don't need to have this pen to do this you can also use a Zig Wink of Stella Clear pen or if you have any shimmery/sparkly paints/stickles/glitter you can use these too. As long as you make sure you use a clear version or a tiny/diluted/watered down amount. You want to be able to still see the color of the 'water' but add the shimmer to it.

You guys know how much I love Stampin' Up and that I was a demonstrator for a while and I just can't resist going back to older products to re-use them in new ways or in this case use them for the first time LOL.

Please tell me I'm not the only crafter who buys new product and then forgets to use it? :)
