Stamping Bella Oddball Scarecrow | Halloween Crafting 2019

Hi friends

Happy Fall/Halloween!

Are you as excited about this as I am?! I love this time of year! I love the cool, crisp air. I love the changing leaves and autumnal colors. I love it all!

So today's card is fitting I think and I hope you enjoy this. I used Stampin' Up card in Mango Melody for the base and Stampin' Up Crumb Cake card for the layer. I stamped Stamping Bella's Oddball Scarecrow in Versafine Vintage Sepia ink using a stamp-a-majig. This helps to line the images up. Makes it real easy.

I colored the image in with Faber Castell Polychromos pencils. I did very simple coloring. No shading, no stress. I also used a Sakura glaze pen in black for the eyeballs.

I stenciled around the image using Stampin' Up Mango Melody ink with Newtons Nook Pumpkin Patch stencil. Once that was done I used some Distress ink in Vintage Photo for the edges of the layer and the card base. I just felt it needed to be dirtier.

I absolutely love how this card turned out and I hope you get your Fall/Halloween freak on!

Have a creepy crafty day!

Bye for now

One Layer Alcohol Inked Card Lawn Fawn Life Is Good

Hi Crafters

I hope you're having a wonderful day :)

Today's card is very simple but packs a wow punch when you give it to someone. It's a one layer all alcohol inked card and is great for the beach going kind of person.

I'm going to keep this post very simple like the card. Using Lawn Fawn Life Is Good stamps, I used some Memento Tuxedo Black ink to stamp the images and Copic markers to color them in. Some post-it notes were used to mask the stamped images to create a beach scene. I added this to a Stampin' Up Early Espresso A2 card base and that was it.

Super simple but so much fun to do.

I hope you enjoy the video and don't forget to pop over to my YouTube channel for more inspiration.

Happy crafting!

Lawn Fawn | Baked with Love & A Touch of Fairy Dust

Hi Bloggers

I am so happy it's the weekend! I've not had the best week mentally so have tried to keep my mind busy with craft projects and coloring. I always find this is a great way to escape for a while so that the world doesn't become too overwhelming.

Today's card is one I cased from a lady online, I just googled the stamp set and a bunch of ideas came up. This is a great way to find inspiration. Our cards look totally different but I loved how she made the faeries bake :)

I also used Copic markers to color the images in as well as my Brother Scan n Cut to die cut them out. I love that machine!

My usual hoard of cardstock is Stampin' Up so of course I used that for the base of the card and an old 6x6 Stampin' Up DSP stack for the background papers. I used them to give the illusion of wallpaper and a table top.

I'm having a thing about inking the edges of everything at the moment so of course this card was no exception :) and finally I added some Nuvo Crystal Drops to the card.

I hope you give scene building a go and don't forget to shop your stash - you'll be surprised what you'll find.

Have a happy crafty day!

Crafters Companion | Popcorn The Bear | Just Because

Hi friends

Today's card will be super quick and simple, mainly because the prep work (if you will) was already done :)

I have heat embossed in white embossing powder a stamp from Crafters Companion Popcorn the Bear Romance collection. Now this is going back quite a few years so if any of you still has and loves this stamp collection, I'm hoping that this will be something for you to try. If not, any image that will allow for watercoloring will be great.

I watercolored it using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers (set of 12) and used only 5 colors. I added some color on one edge and then dragged the color out using a water brush or you can use a paint brush and water. This way you create shading without any effort and it always looks fab.

Once I'd done that I just put it away and left it until now to make a card. I have a number of images stamped and colored. This makes it so easy to put a card together when you're in a pinch.

I hope you enjoy this tutorial and that if you haven't tried this type of watercoloring, to give it a go.

Happy Crafting!

Stampin' Up | Bright Wishes

Hi all

I've got a quick and simple card for today. I had previously stamped and then heat embossed using embossing powder an image from Stampin' Up's Bright Wishes stamp set. I used Artist Loft pearlescent watercolor paints to color it. From time to time I like to stamp a whole bunch of images and then play with the coloring mediums I have. Sometimes they work out ok and other times not so much :)

This one did so I've used it in today's card. This way you'll always have some elements/toppers ready to go for a card/project when you need to do something quickly.

If you've not done so already I'd love it if you gave my video over on YouTube a thumbs up, hit the subscribe button and the notification bell if you want to see more from me.

Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you soon.

Happy crafting!
