Tank You Super Easy Card Using Lawn Fawn Stamps and Stampin' Up Pattern Papers

Hi Friends

Happy Tuesday! I've had a weird day so hopefully the rest of today will be even brighter. It's not been a bad day, just unusual and that's ok too.

Anyhoo, today's card is made using Lawn Fawn Fintastic Friends stamps and Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to color the images in on some Daler Rowney Bristol Smooth card. I die cut them using my Brother Scan 'n Cut machine.

For the card base I used Stampin' Up Daffodil Delight cardstock for a standard US A2 size card. I used their DSP (pattern paper) in the By The Shore and Wood Textures packs for the first layer (wallpaper) and the second layer (table top). I also used Stampin' Up's Enamel Shapes for an added touch. Unfortunately, some of these products are retired however I wanted to show you how to use pattern papers with your crafting and also if you already own these papers, I'm hoping this shows you another way to use them.

The sentiment was stamped on a label die from a Stampin' Up Project Life die set from a long time ago but you can use any label die or just a piece of cardstock that is cut to the size to fit your sentiment.

I hope you enjoyed the video and that you have a wonderful day.

Happy crafting!

Love 'n Breakfast Kitchen Scene Card

Hi Friends

Happy Saturday :) I hope you're having a wonderful day and that the sun shines where ever you are.

I wanted to create a scenery card which I love to do and the Lawn Fawn Love 'n Breakfast stamps lend themselves so well to this. It was a perfect match but make sure you look at all your stamps for any foodie ones where you could do something similar. I also used Lawn Fawn Sprinkled With Joy, Gingham Backdrops and Howloween stamps.

The card base is Stampin' Up Thick Whisper White as well as the layer/pieces that become the wallpaper, cupboards, worktop and floor. You'll see from the video that I inked the background with TH Tattered Rose Distress Ink using a stencil to look like wallpaper, I inked the worktop in TH Black Soot Distress Ink to make it look like granite and used TH Walnut Stain Distress Ink to ink what would become the floor. I also used a Tim Holtz woodgrain stamp to make the floor look more realistic.

All the images were colored using Copic markers but you can use which ever coloring medium you choose just make sure that you use the correct ink when stamping the images. What I mean is that you need to use an ink that will work with your coloring medium. So for instance I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink (dye/water based) so that I could use Copic markers (alcohol based). I also use MFT Extreme Black ink which is a hybrid ink and is compatible with alcohol inks.

If you're going to watercolor your images, make sure your ink is either permanent and waterproof like Ranger Archival ink or Versafine ink or a solvent based one like Staz-On ink.

This is so that when you color your images the lines of the images won't bleed or try to blend with the medium you're using. Both are great to try and give you more options when coloring images or creating backgrounds etc.

I also used some Stampin' Up enamel shapes (now retired) for the door knobs for that added touch and this gives them a more realistic look. You can use any enamel dots or something like Nuvo Crystal Drops but be sure that these are completely dry before touching it.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a creative weekend!

You're Fintastic Simple Card

Hi Friends

I hope you're having a wonderful day. I'm not sure where Spring has gone but it's been pretty rainy and cloudy the past few days here. Don't get me wrong I love rainy days but I do like a bit of sunshine too :)

Today's card is a very simple one to do and uses Stampin' Up Pumpkin Pie cardstock for the base as well as the label die for the sentiment. I also used enamel dots in the same color for added texture, dimension and a bit of interest as it's such a plain and simple card.

The first layer (background/'wallpaper') and second layer ('table') used some old Stampin' Up DSP (pattern paper). I've had these papers for a few years now so wanted to try to use them up. This may take me a while as there are so many in a pack LOL!

For the images, I used some Bristol Smooth paper by Daler Rowney and Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to color them in. I also used Nuvo Crystal Glaze to create the water inside the fish bowl. Just be aware that Zig's are water-based and so they reactivated when the glaze was put on. I did not think this through LOL! Just something to be aware of.

I hope you give this one a try and see how you can use your pattern papers as inanimate objects/backdrops so that you can make more use of them.

Stampin' Up Very Vintage Faux Letterpress Technique

Hi Friends

I hope you've had a lovely Easter and that your week is off to a great start.

For today's card I used Stampin' Up's Very Vintage stamp set which is great for those of you who love a bit of vintage in your life :) The images are beautiful and can be used for so many projects and types of occasions. You can even use these quite happily with your distress inks.

For the card base I used Stampin' Up Crumb Cake as well as for the layer on the topper. I used WH Smith's watercolor paper (you all know how much I rave about this paper) and I thought that the creamy color of it lent itself nicely to this card. I also used Stampin' Up ink in Gray Granite and Crumb Cake for that very vintage (did you see what I did there lol) look. The embossing folder is a 3D one from Crafters Companion but this will work with any embossing folder you have.

I hope you'll give this a try as it's a great technique and will have those you give cards to wondering how you did it.

4 Cards 1 Stamp Set Love You A Latte Plus A Handy Tip

Hi Friends

Well today is certainly very Spring like with such beautiful weather today it's a shame to be sitting in doors :) but I love to craft so that's what we're doing.

Today's cards are super simple to make and once you have all the elements ready, they take no time at all to put together.

I will put an explanation beneath each one explaining what I'd used;

The card base is Stampin' Up Blackberry Bliss as well as the strip on the left. The DSP (pattern paper) is from Serene Scenery 6x6 pack and the scalloped circle is from Stampin' Up Very Vanilla. I used Nina 110lb card for the images and colored with Copic markers. I used my Brother Scan n Cut to die cut the images out.

The card base is Stampin' Up Garden Green as well as the strip in the middle. The DSP (pattern paper) is from Playful Palette 6x6 pack and the scalloped circle is from Stampin' Up Very Vanilla. I used Nina 110lb card for the images and colored with Copic markers. I used my Brother Scan n Cut to die cut the images out.

The card base is Stampin' Up Smoky Slate as well as the strip on the right. The DSP (pattern paper) is from Serene Scenery 6x6 pack and the scalloped circle is from Stampin' Up Very Vanilla. I used Nina 110lb card for the images and colored with Copic markers. I used my Brother Scan n Cut to die cut the images out.

The card base is Stampin' Up Melon Mambo as well as the strip on the bottom. The DSP (pattern paper) is from Fruit Stand 6x6 pack and the scalloped circle is from Stampin' Up Very Vanilla. I used Nina 110lb card for the images and colored with Copic markers. I used my Brother Scan n Cut to die cut the images out.

I am sorry if these specific DSP (pattern papers) are no longer available but this was to show how to use pattern papers on your cards especially if you find it hard to do like I do. I hope this tutorial helps some of you. Try not to get too hung up on the particular patterns or colors used, it's what's pleasing to your eyes.

You can watch the video below or over on my YouTube channel here :)

Thanks for popping by and have a very Happy Easter!

Distress Oxide Wave Borders Background You Are Jawsome Card

Hi Friends

Well, what a beautiful day it is today. The sun is shining and I think that Spring may just be with us at last :)

Today's card uses Distress Oxide inks which are super easy to blend with and so much fun to work with. As with all Distress products these too are reactive with water so I created a cool background using 6 different colors as well as splattering water on them after inking to create a neat background.

The end result is fab and I love it!

I also used Lawn Fawn Wave Border and Stitched Hillside Border dies to create the layers as if you're looking into the ocean side on. Not my original idea using the Wave Border dies in this way but I've made it my own and I think it turned out super cute.

For the images I used Lawn Fawn Duh-Nuh stamp set and my Brother Scan n Cut to die cut them out. I colored them with Windsor & Newton Cotman watercolor paints.

The stamped part of the sentiment came from the Lawn Fawn Duh-Nuh stamp set and the word jawsome was made using Lawn Fawn Cole's ABC's dies. I also added Nuvo Aqua Shimmer pen and Nuvo Crystal Glaze to the word for some zing!

You'll notice in the video that the cards (top right hand side of the screen) are for Halloween videos. The reason I added these in for you is because these were made using Distress Oxide inks and I thought you might want to see more of this type of technique.

You can watch the video below or over on my YouTube channel here :)

I hope you'll give this a try and let me know in the comments how you get on.

Have a crafty day!

Manatee-rific Circle Slider Card Process Video Using Lawn Fawn Stamps & Dies

Hi Friends

I hope you're having a wonderful day - it's quite muggy here today but there's never a day when I can't craft Who's with me? :)

Today's card features Lawn Fawn stamps and dies. I'm using the Manatee-rific stamp set along with Ocean Wave Borders, both from Lawn Fawn. I also used stitched circle dies from M&C Boutique which I bought from The Works many moons ago but any circle die will work for this. There are even some dies on the market that are made specifically for circle sliders.

I used Stampin' Up cardstock in Pacific Point for the card base, Smoky Slate for the main layer and top layer with the largest outer circle, Pool Party for the inner stitched circle and Bermuda Bay and Pacific Point for the border waves.

For my stamped images I used WH Smith's Mixed Media cardstock which is almost white so makes the colors you use really pop. I used Windsor & Newton Cotman watercolor paints to color the images and my Brother Scan n Cut to die cut the images out.

The slider element is a product from MFT called Replenishments Slider Elements. They look like Tic-Tacs but please don't eat them LOL!

You can watch the video below or over on my YouTube channel here.

I hope you give this a try and hopefully yours will slide how he's meant to LOL - watch the video to see what I mean :)

Have a happy crafty day!

You Are Sublime Non Shaker Shaker Card Using Lawn Fawn Stamps and Dies

Hi Crafters

I hope you're having a good start to your weekend.

Today's card didn't quite turn out how I had planned it (LOL) but you will see from the video that I made it work. This is a good way for me to show you how you can start out with one idea which either evolves into something else or, in my case, it goes disastrously wrong and I need to come up with a new style all together.

It was still a lot of fun to do and I hope that even with the blunder you can follow the principals of how to make this card. It honestly isn't difficult but if you have any questions please let me know.

I hope you give it a try either by making it a shaker card (as it should have been) or by making it into a dimensional card.

Whatever you choose to do, make it fun and happy and colorful - I always feel that's so good for your mind and soul.

You can watch the video below or you can find it on my YouTube channel here in HD.

Have a wonderful weekend and I will see you next week :)

Happy crafting.
